What does success look like to you?

What does success look like to you?

Little wins can help you find the balance.

Success is a word that carries different meanings for everyone. For some, it might be a lofty career title or a bank account with plenty of zeros. For others, it could be the freedom to take a leisurely walk in the park or simply being present for their family. At The Mandiverse, we believe that success is a deeply personal concept, shaped by your values, priorities, and the life you envision for yourself.

For me, success isn't about grand gestures or monumental achievements. It's about the small, everyday victories that bring balance, joy, and fulfillment to my life.

Here’s a glimpse into what success looks like for me:

★ Getting outside for fresh air:
Taking a break to breathe in some fresh air and soak up a bit of sunshine can be incredibly refreshing. It's a simple pleasure, but it recharges my batteries and clears my mind.

★ Doing the school run:
Or, if you're home schooling - spending time at the start and end of each day with the children. There is something special about being able to stick to a routine and spend a time with my children each day. It helps me stay grounded and reminds me of what’s truly important.

★ Making a hot drink *and* actually drinking it:
It’s amazing how a small thing like enjoying a hot cup of tea or coffee, without distractions, can feel like a luxury. Simple things can really make a difference to your day.

★ Switching my phone to Do Not Disturb:
Setting boundaries is crucial for maintaining a healthy work/life balance. When I switch my phone to Do Not Disturb, it signals that I’m taking time to focus, whether on work or simply on myself.

★ Feeling inspired to create quality work for my clients:
Success, to me, also means being in the right headspace to produce work that I’m proud of. There’s nothing more satisfying than delivering results that help my clients achieve their goals.

★ Taking time away from my business:
It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind, but true success means allowing yourself time to step away. Whether it's a holiday or just a quiet afternoon, these breaks are essential for recharging and maintaining long-term productivity.

★ Helping clients achieve their goals:
There’s such a feel-good factor that comes from knowing that my work contributes to someone else's success. When my clients reach their goals, it is absolutely 100% a win for both of us.

★ Hanging the washing outside:
Nothing screams middle-aged more than this one - and yes, it might seem mundane, but there's something satisfying about completing small household tasks. These little chores remind me that success isn’t just about work – it’s about maintaining harmony in all aspects of life.

★ Catching up with friends and family:
At the end of the day, relationships are what matter most. Taking time to connect with loved ones is an essential part of my definition of success.

Of course, this list is neither exhaustive nor set in stone. My idea of success evolves with time, just as yours might. But what remains constant is the importance of taking a step back and reflecting on what success looks like that that particular time in your life.
