Is it for you?
Personally, it's a no from me.
Whilst I consider myself a fairly early riser and enjoy beginning the day between 6:15/7 a.m, I choose (more like refuse!) not to join the 5 a.m. club.
Why?
I believe that periods of rest are just as crucial as taking action and implementing plans. I don't need to start my day at 5 a.m and get the day going. Though sometimes if I do - it's a nice change. BUT - I don't need to go, go, go, from the moment I wake up. The day itself is usually busy enough as is.
So, I want to remind you that it is possible to achieve your goals even with a slower, calmer start to your day.
This approach may prevent you from feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. I hear you! I know what it's like running a business, setting yourself goals, and needing to achieve them.
However, you shouldn't feel pressured to adopt someone else's routine. If a later start to your morning routine resonates with you, embrace it. You need to find what works for you. Once you do, you'll see those goals getting smashed!
For me, starting the day early includes a morning stroll with the golden-child Harvey, followed by a cuppa and cuddles with him on the sofa (I know... no dogs on the furniture rule didn't last long in our house!).
Tell me... What morning routine brings out the best in you?
