My journey

As a child, I was convinced that teaching was my calling. Up until the age of 13, I was adamant I would become a teacher. The idea of working with children and shaping young minds fascinated me.

However, life has a funny way of taking unexpected turns.

Something shifted in my early teens, steering me away from the structured path of education (probably something to do with being surrounded by teenagers!) and towards a more creative and dynamic journey.

Art soon became my favourite subject, interlinked with business studies. This blend of creativity and strategic thinking laid the foundation for my future career in marketing. But little did I know it then...!

Throughout my schooling, I found joy in the creative process – whether it was designing a project, doing art research, getting creative, or strategising a business plan. My passion for these subjects was undeniable, and they became the building blocks of my professional life.

Additionally, I discovered a love for being organised. This naturally led me to the roles I've worked in - namely Personal Assistant, Office Manager, and Marketing. Each position allowed me to utilise all my skills! 

Fast forward many years, and I find myself as a creative virtual assistant. My role allows me to use my artistic talents and business head to help clients achieve their goals. From designing marketing materials to writing engaging content, I am constantly drawing on the skills and interests that have been with me since my teenage years.

However, looking back at my journey, it's clear that our paths are rarely linear. The dreams we have as children often evolve as we grow and discover new passions. Whilst I never became a teacher in the traditional sense, I have found a way to educate, inspire, and support others through my creative work.

And I love it!

Change is an inevitable part of life, and embracing it can lead to unexpected and fulfilling outcomes. My journey is a testament to the power of following your passions and being open to where they may lead you...
